Before its Brickell debut this winter, Uchiba is giving Miami a preview. The Japanese izakaya-inspired concept is running two weeks of happy hour pop-ups at its sister restaurants — Uchi in Wynwood and Uchiko in Miami Beach — from November 1 through 15, daily from 5 to 6:30 PM, with limited-time menus and a few dishes specific to each location.
Uchibā is the izakaya-inspired sister concept to Uchi, from chef Tyson Cole's Hai Hospitality group — already open in Dallas (since 2018) and Austin (since 2023), with Brickell as its Miami debut. For the preview, the happy hours are hosted at its two sister restaurants here: Uchi in Wynwood and Uchiko in Miami Beach.
It is a smart way to meet a restaurant before it opens: a taste of the menu, in rooms the team already runs, weeks before the new address gets its own crowd. Follow the restaurants' social accounts for the latest updates as the winter opening approaches.
Know before you go: Pop-ups at Uchi Miami, 252 NW 25th St, Miami (Wynwood), and Uchiko Miami Beach, 1759 Purdy Ave, Miami Beach (Sunset Harbour). Uchiba opens this winter at 900 S Miami Ave, Space 185, Miami (Brickell).
