La Paix Bakery Brings Haitian Baking to Miami Shores

Some openings are about a neighborhood getting the bakery it was missing. La Paix Bakery, the beloved family-owned Haitian bakery, opened its second South Florida location in Miami Shores, with a grand opening celebration and ribbon-cutting on October 27, 2026, alongside the Miami Shores Chamber of Commerce.

The new spot is a 3,200-square-foot hybrid: part manufacturing bakery, part café, with indoor and outdoor seating and an expanded menu. The specialties are the ones regulars already know — fresh hard-dough breads, savory pastries, traditional sweets, and comfort meals — with plans for custom cakes and shipping from the new, larger kitchen.

It is a family story as much as a bakery story: the Miami Shores location is led by co-owners Yolande Derosier, Nadeige Sterlin, and Natasha Nozile-Janvier, growing a business that started in Miramar into a second home on NE 2nd Avenue.

Know before you go: La Paix Bakery, 9636 NE 2nd Ave, Miami Shores. Grand opening October 27, 2026.
